Check your startup folder. Just do a search for the word startup, and then if you have an internet program in there, take it out. Or check your isp (internet service providers) preferences.

unplug the internet reciever, (on the spot stick or router) and then plug it back in back. yet why wud u have a difficulty with ur workstation immediately connecting to the internet?

If you have broadband, you can just disable the internet connection, and enable it when you want to go online!

wot u can do is jus go to d properties ofd net connection u hav....n simply uncheck d option frm dat window which says automically connect.......but dis could only b done wen u r online....caz as soon as u go offline u would b connectd to d net automatically
2) u can also turn ur modem off........n only switch it on as n wen required.....
