I don't understand why you wouldn't know this unless you're adopted.
If that is the case, be straight with your parents and ask them to help you.
They might have some information regarding your biological parents.
I think searches of birth registries everywhere come at a price, but it may not be as expensive as you think.
Check out state sites on the net.

We need more information from you. Are they alive or deceased?
Do you know where each was born, town, city, state, USA or other? Do you have relatives or friends that could help you get the information? You can find some information on www.zabasearch.com but need to know the state they live in.
Provide more info and someone can help.

If they are deceased, try to find their birthplace and maybe their church, they usually have records there for baptisms. Also funeral homes have copies of stuff like that.
