from inspection of the way women dress to attract men, and knowing they have been doing it ever since Eve put on her first dress, I'd say there is nothing new under the sun, and women have already tried exposing one part or another of their body several times, in several places, with several different covers, and they will keep doing it, as long as men are needed or wanted by women.

I doubt it. I would take a look at human costumes over recorded time and you will find many cultures adopted dress that exposed body area's.
