someitmes java will not respond to the auto downloader...try the offline download and if it doesnt install you have a software or hardware conflict.

When it says "installer cannot proceed with the current internet connections"; what type of internet connection do you have? If you are on a wireless network, are other machines downloading, uploading, any reason to believe your bandwidth is being compromised. If nothing else try unplugging your modem and/or router.

just download the older version of java i am sure it will work, sometimes your computer operating system does't suit the newest version of java. download the older version of it. i hope it will have no negetive effects.
