why do so many?

kid on here want us to do they homework for them? when i was in school i had to do it myself so why should they? how are they going to learn anything?

Ahhh, the dumbing down of American Society.

I just went back to college to pick up a few more credits on my lifelong betterment quest. Just completed a group project and I was by far the oldest in the group. Now I realize that our public school system stinks. Not one of the other members of the group knew how to do research and refer to it, to write a paper. NOT ONE.

Apparently, they don't teach that stuff anymore. Just like they don't teach correct typing, or grammar, or critical thinking. They teach kids to pass stupid tests to make the teachers & politicians feel better.

I am afraid for my daughter and the future of this country. Our children are materialistic, lazy, not socially aware, and tend to think that the government always is right and always does everything for our benefit.

So in answer to your question, they don't want to learn anything. School is just that thing you have to do until you get home and jump on the computer.

I think some of them are lazy, but others are looking for other people's perspectives on things, or they don't quite understand what they're supposed to do. Depends on what they're asking. It's a good way to do it if you have one of those survey assignments where you have to ask a big bunch of people. I always ran out of people to ask and had to make up answers once or twice.

Maybe they are asking us because their teachers did not have good teachers. Therefore, their teachers do not know the material well enough to know how to explain it to the class!
