No.
There are a diproportionate amount of trolls on here though. A lot of these people probably would be whimpering idiots if you met them in real life and run from any fight, phyiscal or mental.
It's amazing what people say when they are safely at their computers with a fake screen name to back them up.

Either it's a disproportionate amount, or they disproportionately like to offer their view (come on you know who you are), or it may reflect levels in society. Hope it not the latter.
See a racist question. Tell 'em.

disproportionate to what?
The amount of racist responses on yahoo are a pure representation of the amount of people that have such opinions.
In fact yahoo answers provides an excellent analysis of peoples thoughts and grievances because they are not restrained by the need to pander to their peers, bosses or the police state that arrests us for the crime of freedom of speech , albeit dressed up as race hate laws.
Freedom of speech shouldnt be selective freedom of speech. As soon as the govt censor the parts which suit them then it is no longer free.thereforeyou are no longer free!
Racist, bigot, nazi are all words that are too commonly bandied about in this trendy leftist society we live in, without often giving thought to what these terms mean.
If one considers themselves thoughtful then a quick research of the exact meaning of these terms along with a little history reading will often put people in a better positionto put forward a competent opinion or question.
britain , at the moment is going through a massive social and cultural revolution. Many people are seeing their nation change completely within a generation, and not necessarily for the better.
The govt has clearly miscalculated the results of mass immigration on our culture and infrastructure and many of the muslim immigrants have only contempt for their hosts.
this considered , it is obvious that people will wnat to air their views, espcially when there are few places where even the mention of immigration wont have the thought police on your case.
We are being manipulated by a self serving govt in the greatest social engineering projects ever known. Our rights are eroded daily under one guise or another to "protect our interests".
Take advantage of the last bastion of free speech (the internet), because it too is in the govt censors sights....be warned!

you are able to desire to seem on the complete inhabitants. Christians are busy answering questions in scientific and non-sectarian sections, including philosophy, emigration, anthropology, and arithmetic, to call some. Theists ask for solutions from atheists interior the religion area much extra frequently than an everyone asks for the biblical "concept" interior the non-sectarian area. of course atheists are being welcomed to that area as a collection so as that "athiest" evaluations would be won as asked. on the different hand, it is the scientific web content that discover the quantity of theist involvement disporportionate. the quantity of unwelcome non secular opinion expressed in scientific web content shows that the stability of inhabitants you seek for are residing in web content that have little interest of their enter.

No, its no different to any other place on the earth.
in fact we are all racist if you want to be honest with your self, we like what we know, and know what we like. When given the choice of two people to approach, we will invariably subconsciously go towards the one whom has more similarities to our own perceived view point.
thus we divide people by their appearance, habits and accent and skin colour. Its a natural defence mechanism we have, to identify other members of our tribe. The question is not is there more racists here, but is there more overtly racist people here?
Being racist is one thing, it a natural reaction, It is another thing to act upon those gut and subconscious feelings.
I actually find most people of a different cultural background to my own very stimulating company, but I would be very cautious if my daughter arrived home with somebody who was outside my zone of comfort, until I had a chance to actually discover the person.

no people voice opinions on here they wouldn't dare in a real life situation. If some of the questions posted were asked in real life the asker would get a smack in the mouth and called an arsehole. Most of the Q&A are just reactionary

Yes. People with poor social skills tend to be those with nothing better to do than spend all day on Yahoo! Answers.

anonymous forums like this allow people to say things they would never say in real life. I believe that most of us are capable of some prejudice, but the majority of racist comments on this board are the product of low intelligence and immaturity.
I often browse 'answers' at work and, during weekdays, you can literally see the drop in *community intelligence* at about 3.30pm when the schools kick out

I wouldn't think so - anyone can join in to yahoo questions, whether they are racist or not - so feel that the proportions should be roughly equal.
