In my opinion, the reason why people constantly use the "F word" is due to the media (e.g., movies, Internet, TV shows, etc.) and the themes (e.g., violence, use of profanity, etc.) that they use. Media has become so accessible over the years that people need not read books to get the information that they desire.

People also have a natural tendency to mimic or emulate what they see and hear. So, if media were to make profanity a staple, then people would follow it and eventually influence those around them.

I totally agree! To me...it always make people sound very cheap and trashy. I always tell my students and children that they shoudl be able to express themsleves with something better than that. That word is the cheap way out!

F seems to be the only adjective in a lot of vocabularies!
It must be harder and harder to find good writers these days. :(
Becoming educated requires a desire to read. If these people did read, their vocabularies would increase automatically.

1) sound "cool"
2) too lazy to think of a new or better word
3) for shock value
