I have prepared an idea of creating a different kind of TV programme but am confused that whether I shall approach TV Channels for the same or to production companies to get the best price of my idea -- Problem is that I don't have enough funds to produce/direct my own program.
Lastly I want to have list of Production Cos./TV Channels with Top 20 TRPs - both in India & Abroad.

Hmmm. Are you in the US?

If you are, then you can go to your local cable company. They often offer courses where you can learn how to use their equipment in order to produce a show that would then air regularly on public access cable.

If you don't want to go to the local cable company and learn how to run the equipment and put together your own show, through that means, the best bet is to try and find an agent that deals specifically with entertainment. They present your ideas to the various studios to see if one of them might be interested in picking it up.

Agents will usually require a fee, although you might get lucky and find one that will accept a commission of what your program earns if the network does pick it up, rather than an up-front payment. Those agents are rare and hard to find, but some do exist.

Sorry, I don't know the answer to this, but wanted to wish you good luck, becuase I think the first answer is really negative and unhelpful.
