very much so. i think i still have stuff from high school and that was years ago. my husband fusses at me about all the time too. i honestly thought i was the only one left of us kind.

Yes, but striving to change.
My parents were poor, the beginning of my adult life was very poor, and I managed to lose nearly everything I have owned in 2 divorces, so I tend to keep stuff for the need of having it.
I know I have this problem, so I force myself to go through my stash places (basement, closets, utility room) once a year or so, and pitch/sell/give away items I have not touched or used in more than a year. I am actually in the habit of marking a date on the box that I use an item. Then when I get into a "clear out" mode, I know if I actually use the items or not.

I am at work. I'm a maintenance tech in a very old building, and I save anything that looks like it can be used again since some of these parts are no longer available. But I spent ten years in the service, and learned to travel light. I don't keep much of anything for personal use.
In fact, I have only one dish, one plate, one fork, one spoon, etc. The only thing I have more than one item of is clothing and boots. (Oh, and two chairs in case I get help drinking my beer.)

Yes! I've got tons of books I haven't read, don't plan to read but I can't get rid of them. And, I've got my parents taking care of boxes of my old stuff, since I don't have enough room in my apartment.

Yes, and I always have been. I am slowly working on being less of one, but I'm a very nostalgic person, and it is hard!
