turn the key to the "run" position with the engine shut off.you then have 5 seconds to press and release the gas pedal then turn the key off. this should reset the light.

I too have a GM product and this is what I have to do.

Turn key to "On" but NOT starting, press your gas pedal to the floor three times. This should reset your oil change light.

If you are talking about your Oil Warning Light, aka "Dummy light" if its on, you are out, or nearly out of oil, so ADD oil!

depends on teh year 2003 or newer tap the trip button until it shows the oil life then hold it in until it sayy 100%. Older that 2002 then yes use the gas pedal.

Go get the oil changed. It'll cost a bit though, and you need to do it at a reputable place, not someplace in your local towns where they might mess up something knowing you'llprobably return.
