I am looking for a nice guy that in the age of a mature 27-55 yr. old, that can honestly get to know me and keep it safe and private, respectful, and open-minded outside of the bedroom. Wow that's quite a range. Sounds like you are just looking for a body not a person. There are so many differences in that range of ages, there isn't any way to know that you are looking seriously for a relationship.
My advice is the same to anyone asking this question. You have to have something to bring to the table. The way to meet someone you want to be friends with, or maybe have a relationship with is to get involved in something you like to do or have a passion for. Say you like model trains. If you start attending hobby groups for model trains, and learn everything about the subject, then soon you will have something to have a conversation about and maybe have some knowledge that someone else might find interesting. If you find someone you are attracted to, then simply ask them to go for coffee or something to that effect and start asking them questions. People like to talk about themselves, and being an active listener is a good skill that will help you out. Then if you click alittle, take it a bit further.
You also have the choice of online dating services and friend finders, but you need to be careful there, because people can be whatever you are desperate for, and many are experts at it.
Alot of larger cities have social groups for the transgendered, and that is also a great place to meet others with the same experiences you have, and socialize.
Its up to you in any relationship.

Well, here is the problem: Being a jerk is one extreme, and being too nice is another extreme- in my opinion, both are bad. When you are too nice you act like an angel, but nobody is an angel so why would you act like that then rather being yourself. Girls like guys to be themselves, and jerks are more close to being themselves then nice guys. A jerk can be a jerk most of the time, but sometimes show their other sensitive side. A nice guy (angel) mostly only shows one side to himself. I suggest you neither be a jerk, nor an angel, but something in the middle. It's okay to get mad sometimes, or disagree...just be yourself, both the good and the bad- that's when you are authentic, because nobody is an angle so stop acting like one. nah mean?

I think your situation is incredibly interesting. I am not sure about a relationship. Simply because I do not know you or anything like. But if you have the time. I would truly like to get to know you. I would like to be educated on the situation of a transsexual.
