** To answer 'Jax'..i'm not bragging at all - what the hell is there to brag about. I'm merely saying I feel low and as though "Is this it?!" My life is far from perfect, hence the question. I know that I am lucky in alot of ways - but I can't help how I feel.

Hun, we all feel like that sometimes, but its up to ourselves to get ourselves out of it. I was in a good job, i was seeing someone, i had lots of people who loved me, but it wasnt enough for me. i needed to love myself andapprecuiate myself the way they did.

what do you enjoy doing>? how often do you do it? try donig it more of find different ways of doing it

i went back to college, just a 10 week course, and it opened up a whoel new field of interest in being a cousnellor, i made a really good friend in that time who im still real clsoe to, we started gonig to salsa lessons together and wven though im too busy to keep it up its another intterest to pursue if i ever get fed up, and ive also had lots of fun nights out with her and also friends ive met throguh her. now im donig another cousnellnig course and ive amde even more friends,we go out together and do things i never do with my other friends.

you open one door and its not just a corridor you fidn yourself in a big a big great wooping hotel

13.11.06 so i was copying up some notes on gestalt therapy and it got me thinknig about you. our primary and instinctual needs are food, water, vitamins etc. and when we lack it we have a hunger or craving. then safety - the need for a roof over our heads, a stable gov etc. then its love and belonging - family and friends etc. all these needs it sounds like you have met. then its esteem- higher and lower so lower is other people's opinions of us and higher is our own. i wonder if this is what makes you feel unfulfilled? what is your honest image and idea of yourself? sdo you respect yourself? are you happy with who you are? if your bored and fed up, id guess not. why not try to identify what it is about yourself you want to improve and take it from there

best wishes

Not now I don't, but at your age, yes I did. I felt like people around me (most were meaning well) wanted me to go in a certain direction, then fit into one of their neat little boxes until the day I died and got put into another little box. For me to do anything else would disappoint them so. It was thought I would get a nice little office or shop job (sheesh shudder). Instead I got a job working as a groom in show jumping stables and did a lot of travelling with the horses. That lasted a couple of years, then I changed and went into craft and design. OK finish your education (Yeah boring I know). But then take off. A son of a friend of mine has just done that. He did not have much money, but got a years visa to work and tour Australia. So he is back packing across that country working as he goes and taking in the sights. His parents were horrified. But he has been gone 4 months now. Despite some ups and downs, he is having a great time. Sometimes he has had paid work, sometimes did volunteer work that gave him room and board. He has a lap top he keeps in touch with. Not saying that is what you should do, but you gotta work through these next few years. So once you have, make them work for yourself, not what society dictates. Beulah

I think we're sold the illusion by films,tv,media and celebrity that life is glamorous, exciting and we're all constantly 'on the go'. Reality is totally different, we have routine that feels boring because it's repetitive, is life really going to be like a movie with exciting things happening all the time and leading to a nice happy ending. Our expectations have been raised too high and we forget to really appreciate the smaller things like that relationship or those friends.

Get into something that allows you to give of yourself, and you will have feelings you have never had before. There are lots of things you can get into. Church, volunteer work, visit a nursing home and talk to someone, you just have to give that is the secret, or you will remain in your little tiny world of you.

often. at least in your teenage years, you spent your life to the fullest. there's a saying which means that we should spend our teenage life with joy for in our older years, we will never do the things we have done before again. you'll never get bored in your adult life when you are with your kids and your husband, right?

You need to get married and have kids by then you won't get bored at all. You'll be saying different things, you'll be dreaming to be bored again, believe in me.
