Is it vaccinated, it is fresh blood or dark tarry blood, I would contact your vet asap as it could be serious and life threatening, They would feel the tummy and check temperatures and probably bloods samples, I hope its insured vets can be very expensive!!!!!!

Your dog will die if you don't get it some help, NOW! Take the poor thing to the vet, or at least buy some worm medication for the dog. You can purchase this stuff at the grocery store. There are two kinds of worms that a dog gets. one is pin worms, and the other is heart worms. The pin worms eat at their intestines, and cause blood to be expelled from their bowels. If the dog is that sick, you may have waited too long, and it has become too bad to do anything with. If the dog won't eat, then you can't get them to take the medication unless you force it down their throat. Hold their mouth open with the head back, drop it into the throat, and blow into their nose area at the same time. This is force the dog to swallow. Don't put your mouth over their nose, just a good wind into their nose will work. Get some medication in the dog as soon as you can. Don't put it off, or the dog will die.
I have owned many Lab's and they are the best dogs in the world to have for a pet. They are just sweethearts and will love you to no end. You will also need to rule out the possibility of the dog being poisoned. This is why it is important to see a Vet, as soon as you can. I hope this helps you, and I hope your dog gets well. Good Luck!!!

im not a vet but has your animal been vaccinated against parvos?how old is your animal and has it had a checkup in the last few months? it does sound like your pet could have a bleeding ulcer but blood in the stool sounds like cancer of the colon.i would get to your vet quickly, but if you cant afford it i would either let him live out his days but he may be in much pain so if i were you i would pay close attention to the sounds he makes when he walks and any other activities.if he doest walk as fast or doesnt run at all and make sounds of pain i wouldnt allow my animal to suffer.

It sounds like Parvo to me. This is something you should be asking a vet, though. If blood is coming out of anywhere on your pet that isn't a scratch or cut, then it will always be bad!

I would book an appointment at the vets ASAP. One of my dogs had that and we ended up finding out he had bowel cancer.
Get your labrador to the vets ASAP!

The answer to WHY is because the poor chap (or lady) is ill and needs medical treatment ASAP.
If the poor creature belongs to you or someone in your family then it's your responsibility to see that he gets it. If you can't afford a vet go to the Blue Cross, they deal with sick animals for free or for what you can afford to give.

Could be parvovirus. Could be bad worm infestation. Could have eaten something sharp. The only sure thing is that he can't get the help he needs on-line. Get him to a vet or PDSA clinic immediately.

yes, your vet can tell you why. It sounds like it has eaten rat poison and will be dead unless you get it to a vet within 24 hours of it passing blood.

Hookworms will do that to a dog, he must have them bad if hes throwing up blood. He needs meds you can only get at a vet. Hookworms attach themselves to the linings of the dogs intestines and are very hard to get rid of so please please take that dog to your vet.
