Opium is extracted the the poppy species Paver Somniferum, it is used to make many medicines in the phamacy such as paragoric, codine & morphine. Heroin is also extracted from opium. It is a strong sedative and often perscribed for pain relief, it is also highly addicitve.

It's a plant that can be made into something smokable. It is narcotic. Opium's sometimes associated with the East. Afganistan is famous for it's economic dependance on the opium trade. Many famous British 18th century writers were on opium.

When I smoked opium in Thailand, it made me dream like crazy for an enitre day.
I just spent the enite day lying on my matress in a bamboo hut, near the Burmese border. I think it was good but after four days str8, i just had to get out of there as I was starting to lose the plot.

That was a while ago, on my worls travels, and I must say it was a blur .

you will merely be prescribed vicodin in case you pick it. Opium isn't something the medical doctors prescribe, weed is something which you would be able to prolly locate on any college or highschool campus. I wouldnt recommend sooner or later asking questions like this

It's made form poppies. It's a narcotic. If you eat poppy seed muffins you can test positive for opium on a drug screen (at least that's what I've heard...).

Long long ago.. from China I'm told.. to England traded some tea.. and so sealed the fate in pieces of eight... to England and all of the world... Poppies... yea... And soon his majesty send soilders and fleets to China searching for gold.. instead from the ground some magic they found... something far better I'm told.. Poppies!!! YEA!

Um, the British brought it over to the Chinese during the Imperialism days. I believe that the Chinese got addicted.

let`s see- it caused china to not advance as a country. when some came here in the early 1900`s & our goverment decided they wanted the chinese out- they made drugs illegal , so they could get rid of them.
