every time Bill O' Reilly has anybody of color on his show, he uses it as an opportunity to humiliate them in public. He even gave one of the people, who were one of the people affected by hurrican katrina, a hard time for not being ready when the levees broke. what kind of stuff is that. They act like he is master and others just slaves. but yet no one wanted to say anything when he had his little lawsuit. he just gave her some quiet money and went on. no one challenged him. Hes just another neo conservative looking to put his race back on top. anybody who is not a white conservative male is not his friend. and i believe that whole-heartedly.

I wouldn't say nobody calls him on it, John Stewart for one quite frequently has a 'dig' at O'Reilly. I seem to remember not so long ago that O'Reilly on his show made some outrageous assertion that American troops during WWII had gunned down unarmed German troops in a place called Malmady (forgive spelling).

Olbermann, on his show, seized on this like a rottweiller! And wasted no time pointing out his viewers that it was, in fact, German troops who had massacred unarmed, surrendering US troops at Malmady.

It wouldn't have been so bad but O'Reilly when he made this claim was talking to (interviewing) a retired US General and stated that this supposed US led atrocity was 'well known' and 'documented'.

Let's face it, O'Reilly is an arrogant egotist and nobody likes self-publicising, holier-than-thou cretins like him.

I don't know about whether he is a bigot or not, but he is certainly opinionated. To me, the best way to handle people in the media like this is to simply rob them of the thing they crave the most — an audience. Ignore them and they'll soon go away. In O'Reilly's case, though, an unfortunate number of people actually agree with his viewpoints.

How is that being a racist ? asking someone who lives in an area known for hurricanes why she was not prepared ? It may not have been a question that has a fast answer but how is that racist ?

And under what pair of eyes is the role of master and slave being viewed ?

He is not a bigot. He is a jounalist with a certain belief system, and according to Freedom of Speech is entitled. If you don't agree with him, go on your own news/talk show.

He's not a bigot, he gives everyone a hard time. You only take offense when he does it to someone you like.
