There are 66 books in the Holy Bible 39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament..

Hi, this is a pretty comprehensive list also if you click on any of the names of books there is a brief description. The table covers the slightly different composition of the Old Testament by different religeous groups i.e. Jewish, Protestant, Catholic etc... The structure of the Protestant OT is the same as most of the common translations i.e. the NIV. Hope this helps
