studentawards.com has a huge list of scholarships and awards that you can win if you are a student looking into post secondary education
youtube.com has some awesome videos to provide endless entertainment. I really only go there to watch old Monty Python clips, but I know there is so much more there!
piczo.com is a great site that enables you to build your own site. I love how you have so much control over how you build your pages with it. It's really fun and easy to use.
thehungersite.com is great because you can click the button on the homepage everyday. When you do, the site's sponsors will pay to get 1 cup of food to needy people living in poverty around the world.

YouTube, specifically Geriatric1927. Peter is 79 years old and does terrific, creative vlog work, 32 different ones to date. He's everybody's Grandpa. The media have tried to exploit his popularity, but he wants nothing to do with celebrity.
If you go there, you can see the progression of how he is learning to do more and more with his creations.That inspired me to learn how to set up my own website which I had wanted to do for a while.
