here we go again. after seeing this question many times, i did a lot of research on this topic. here is the result. there was an animal called hegg befofe the chick & the egg. one fine day a big coconut fell on it & it broke into two ( just like humpty & dumpty )the boy who saw it felt very sad & took both the pieces home. to his surprise both had life. so, he alled one piece " hen " & the other "egg ". so, now u know that hen & the egg came together from hegg. how do u like this ?

truly the chicken must have come first because as we evolved so did our means or reproduction so at one point chickens didn't lay eggs they just gave birth but now they lay eggs. in short chicken first egg second.
