If something is below the ground it is subterranean, the surface of the land is terrain, if something is up in the air, what is it??

Aloft. Or, if you are looking for a word with "terrain" in it, you could use the prefixes "super-" or "supra-", both of which mean "above."

i.e. supraterranean or superterranean.

Opposite means on different sides, so the opposite would be 'the same'
