Let's say that someone is pregnant and is thinking about an abortion. And then one day at work, she is using the copy machine and there is a paper jam, and then the word "ABORT" kept flashing on the machine. And this never happened before while using the copy machine.
Would you take this as a sign or no?

i was in what i thought was a perfect relationship... my and my nwo husband got along great and things were cool... at the time we were just boyfriend and girlfriend, i got pregant.. i loved him sooo much.. but he already had a child with another girl... before he ever met me.. yeah it happens... the fact was that i thought so hard about it.. i didnt want to, but the child i swear told me.. so i did, i got an abortion.. around the time i would have been 7 months, my man joined the army.. when he left, i found out a lot of skeletons in his closet.. like the fact that him and his childs mother never totally seperated, and they were still "working things out" now i know i made a great choice because i would have killed somone being 7 months and finding that out.. yeah i am with him still.. but things are different.. call me stupid.. but u dont know the whole situation.. u need to really think of the situation that u are in.. and if u really dont want to have a baby think of other alternatives.. there are tons of people who want a child, but cant have one.. maybe having one for them is a better way to go about it.. i knew in my heart that i wouldnt be able to carry a baby for 9 mnths then get rid of it.. but others are different.. it could have been a sign.. it all depends on ur beliefs...
u should really think about it and think about all the options.. i dont regret it, but i never forget it

I would not take that as a sign. If you're pregnant (or someone you know is), and are considering abortion, take responsibility as a grown woman (who was clearly grown enough to have sex in the first place), and make your own choices regarding the fate of the unwanted pregnancy.

Abortion is not something to be taken lightly, and not something to choose in the event of a copier printing out an error message.

I, personally, believe that abortion should not be used as a contingency plan for the failure to use any other kind of birth control. I feel that abortion should be used under the most pressing of circumstances (i.e. rape, if the pregnancy will pose more than a significant risk to the mother, incest, HIV positive mothers, and untreatable chromosomial defects in the fetus). That, however, is my opinion.

Abortion is something that women who later grow to have a family will regret. It is something that is NEVER forgotten. I would talk to a trusted friend, family member, priest or preacher, or professional counselor before deciding to abort an unwanted pregnancy. That is a HUGE decision to make, and not one that should be made on the basis of a broken copier sending out an error message.

no i wouldn't take it as a sign. but this somebody has alot to think about and seriously.Because a baby is forever and so is abortion as it is always going to be in the back of your mind worse even when friends have babies or u see a baby as u go about your eveyday life and u will always wonder WHAT IF but ppl make choices some right and some unfortunately that are wrong but just remember to let this somebody know that it takes 2 to make a baby and 2 to make a decision regarding whats best for this situation hope it all works out for the best

NO just a freaky coinkidink!!! If you are having second thoughts about having an abortion I think you need to speak to someone. Having an abortion leaves a scar on a womans soul regardless of the situation. I am an extreamly pro choice person but if you are having second thoughts it is in your mental health's best interest to speak to a professional. Planned parenthood has specially trained faculty to deal with these issues.
Good luck!

No. It was a paper jam not a sign. Don't use other things to keep from having a guilty conscious about aborting your baby. If that's what you are going to do then that's what your going to do. But I think you have a guilty conscious and just trying to find a way not to feel bad about it.

probably not! I think ppl make signs for what they want to happen. If This "someone" didnt want a kid, they should have been a little smarter, and used protection. . So in this case I would say the paper jam, would be something a copier does. Not a sign.

No. But then, I'd never be thinking along those lines. I'd hate for a copy machine jam to be the deciding factor as to if my kid lives or not!
