Gravity is a condition of the space-time continuum which is associated with mass. Every object which has a mass will have a gravitational attraction to any other close object with a mass.

The planet Earth has a mass, and therefore has a "gravity."

Not trying to be rude, but the question should be " why does the earth have gravity". Im no physicist, but what i do no is that everythig a has a pull about it. That is anything with mass will bend space and time, therefore bringing things towards it. The larger the body, the greater the pull. Once an object is within this pull, that is what we call gravity, or gravitational force.

Law of Gravitation states that every particle has gravitational force. But since objets like football, chair ,etc have very little mass and and are affected by friction. But since Earth has got way too much density it attracts objects towards it self which results as GRAVITY.

this is the cause of gravity that u can walk or run if the no gravity then no attraction so the gravity control every thing other wise ur pc, u and ur chair are flying or also the weightless
