It's 100% normal! It happened with both of my children, and again now being pregnant with my third. It doesn't mean that you'll have problems nursing, and you shouldn't need shields. Most likely you're just getting a few drops, right? You aren't going to damage your nipples or breasts, either. In fact, the fact that you can express colostrum is a great thing if you decide to nurse!
Best of luck!

Its normal. You might want to buy a pack of breast shields (think pads for your boobs) in case you start leaking without using your hand. If you can already get a bit out, you could leak some in late pregnancy. And don't worry about hurting yourself. The baby will squeeze your nipple with its mouth to get the milk out, so its not damaging.

yes it is normal. Your body is preparing for the baby. I have had kids and nursed them all. squeezing wont hurt. Sometimes it is good to squeez and get your breast ready for breastfeeding. Of course if you are not sure talk to your doctor. God bless you ad your baby

Yes this is very normal. Tell your doctor or midwife about this and they can give you further information on how to prepare your nipples and look after them.
