I'am currenlty a taxi driver but am considering leaving the trade in a year and a half and am looking for other viable licences or short courses that onces I have will earn me a decent wage.

i made good money as a hvac(heating ventilation air conditioning) service tech. its a short course also a wholesalers license

the haulage industry is currently desperately short of lgv drivers.
This tends to be mostly class1/c+e drivers.
Unfortunately, since the government recognised the need for drivers, one now has to pass the class2/cat c test first.For no particular reason except to empty a few more million/year into govt coffers by stealth.The licence will almost guarantee decent paid work.
Unfortunatley for trainees, the bar has been raised excessively over the last few years to make sure more people fail so retest fees are guaranteed for the treasury.The British lgv test is now the most difficult driving test in the world.

Barber or Hairdresser. You have to go to barber or beauty school for either of those careers.
