1992 L reg mondeo wont start new battery 2 mounths ago but battery just seems to drain, no electrics left on, but engine just dead doesent even turn over but will bump start and starts 1st time when garage puts booster box on could it be starter/alternater or what?

The first answerer is close. I would focus on the alternator. With a charged battery installed, disconnect the large red wire from the alternator and then just touch it to the terminal and see if it sparks. If it does, you probably have shorted diodes in the alternator. Ford is famous for these.

Solenoid is passing the present to the starter motor which sounds as though it´s turning, however the bendix isn't enticing the kit to the flywheel. Take the starter motor off and sparkling the shaft thoroughly and lubricate it with GRAPHITE and not something (get it from a locksmith), make confident the kit strikes up and down the shaft freely, positioned it decrease back and notice if it extremely works. It`s no longer too confusing to do it your self. in case you're taking it to a storage you`ll definately want a sparkling starter motor whether it in elementary terms desires a sparkling.

From what you say, i think your battery is not charging.It is also very likely you are dealing with a short. Conect a test light from + at battery to ground. Then pull fuse one at a time. When the test light goes out , you have found the syatem with the short.
