How come women don't get bald?

Question

How come many men become bald headed later in life, but women don't get it the same way? I know some women get thinner hair. Thanks for answering:)

You have been corrected, women do get bald, and very frequently.

By the age of 40, 40% of women are suffering from baldness. You won't normally see this because they cover it up.

Quite a few younger women also suffer from baldness, but measures have been taken to recognize and treat baldness in women.

They can and they do. It's ausually aused by a disorder called alopecia, which is really just female pattern baldness.
Sometimes it incorporates areas on the body where there's hair, then it's called alopecia areata. I know a friend of my ex's who has not one single hair anywhere on her body.
My first wife went through a terrible ordeal with it once and it was likely caused by a lot of trauma/stress at the same time. I got her into some good treatment right away and through psychotherapy and hormone shots in the bald areas of her scalp, her hair grew back thicker within a year.
It's imperative to start the treatment a.s.a.p.

actually, women do go bald! I have pasted in a number of thesis' done on that very subject. The pattern of baldness (male pattern baldness) is different but it still happens.

Baldness is due to testosterone, together with genes. Women don't have so much testosterone. Men, if they get neutered, will also not get bald, because testosterone comes from the testicles.
