We are looking at the idea of marriage after being together for 10 yeears, making it official. Wondering how to go about having a cheap but fun wedding and how to go about getting a celebrant and how much they cost? Any tips or ideas I would appreciate thanks.

My second husband and I wanted a quiet wedding . We married in a church with just close family but you can have a JP at around $150.00(in Canada) and a Justice of the Peace will often marry you in the courthouse, your home or any other suitable location. As for the reception my mother and I did all the cooking and we had a stereo with our favorite cds and a small open, help yourself bar for close friends. We bought decorations from the dollar store and I carried flowers from my own garden. I also wore a pretty pink dress that I can use for other occasions and my husband wore a blazer and slacks he already had. We bought new suits for my sons and the best man and maid of honor wore their own choice of clothes. It was very relaxed and comfortable but special becouse we were with those that we loved and confirmed our love for each other and yet didn't go into debt!
