mobi is a top-level domain submitted to ICANN for approval as a sponsored TLD. It would be restricted to mobile devices and sites providing services for them. It is sponsored by a consortium of companies including Microsoft, Vodafone, Samsung, Sun Microsystems, and Nokia. As of December 2004, negotiations for its management were underway, and approval and implementation was expected in 2005.
