Ummmm... Are you talking about sprint cars? They have aluminum "wings" on top. They contribute to the aerodynamics of the car. They also allow for additional handling adjustments. The position of the wing determines air flow which can either loosen or tighten the handling of a car. :) If you want to see a picture check out http://www.billthomasracing.com/ or http://www.rtschassis.com/.

Ha ha ha!! I would desire to tell my friends approximately this, it is hilarious! I even have tried somewhat stressful to dream with regards to the Jonas Brothers, yet I constantly finally end up dreaming with regards to an identical element... clowns (they're extra of nightmeares, no longer goals!). that would suck to have Kevin includes your place without Nick or Joe! So unhappy!

Super modified & sprint cars use them. They are called Farrings. They catch the wind to push the car to the ground for better traction.

i think you are talking about "dirt track" race cars - that roof is shaped that way because of the smaller radius of dirt tracks and the more prone the cars are to skid sideways the shape on the roof helps prevent sliding sideways

You are probably referring to a roof scoop. The serve to direct cool air to the engine's intake manifold. You will very often find roof scoops on mid-engined autos.
