excuse me,nazrin and tony,YOU'RE GUYS! 10's not an odd age to start a perioud. you're dumb, but you can't help it..you're a dude. nazrin, i think you need to find out average ages for periods before you decide to say that having a perioud at age 10 is weird, cause it's normal.

No hun perfectly normal...it's becaus your growing and they must be growing quite fast in order for you to get stretchmarks to reduce the red marks get some 'bio oil' I found this is best with my stretchmarks and if you can talk to your mum ask her? but I do believe it's normal.

i've added some website's that may help below:D

Its ok, girl, I'm 14, and i got my period when i was in he 6th grade. Your age is normal.

I had my stretch marks then too. Its just a sign that your breasts are growing and developing. You're gonna get them on your hips and the backs of your legs too. But that's not till later.
And just because you're getting them, doesn't mean your overweight. Infact i was very thin and slim and am right now too.
You should eat healthier now, though. Don't grab the potato chips and ice cream as often. Don't go on a diet, unless your doc recommends it of course, just eat healthier--meaning more veggies and fruits and less proccessed junk food.

Don't put on lotion, that'll just make those stretch marks appear redder. Also sleep in a bra, it'll keep you lookin good for high school. ;-) Just make sure the bra isn't too tight, that might cause complications in growing breasts. Now we don't want that, now do we?
Congrats, you're a young woman now. =D

And for you guys---Tony and Nazzin--, how would even know? What are you doing here in WOMEN's HEALTH anyway? Backoff you dumb bunnies. Go and play with your balls.

The period doesn't matter... that's a normal time to get it. However, the stretch marks... uhhh.... I apologize if I seem rude, but this usually means that you're overweight. You should attempt to do some cardio (running, jogging, jumping, skipping, blading, bicycling, etc.) and change your diet to portion control. This means veggies, fruits, granola bars, yogurt, and nuts for snacks. Limit your meat to chicken and fish.

If that is NOT the case, then it means that you're growing rapidly. *shrugs* Look at the article below.

stretch marks are caused by growing or shrinking too fast... if your boobs grew a lot in the last several months that would explain it.... there are creams on the market now that help specially if they are new. Take care if it now while you are young... im not saying that it is gross or that you hasve any serious problems... just take care of your skin while you are young and you will not have many problems when you are an adult.. hope this helps.

Having stretch marks and age are not related. you are having stretch marks is due to rapid growth of your breasts, which is normal for adolescents (female) due to rapid growth and development. why we have stretch marks? its because the collagen (stuff under the skin) is being somewhat torn due to lets say size enlargement, thus if it tears, it leaves a red mark during the process of healing. when its fully healed it would diminish in color and disappear.

ME TOO! I DIDNT THINK ANY ONE ELSE DID BUT THEN I ASKED A DOCTOR! i still have them now but they have fgaded a lot. they start out red or purple but they clear up quickly, its not eweird at all. its normal it means your growing i use stretch mark lotion like for pregnant ladies (lol) but it helps a lot. put it on at night and it will actually feel better in the moring. use jergens it works well. it a little uncomfortable to sleep in but its worth it.

if you grew fast in the breasts, then it's common. try some stretch mark cream to get rid of them and wear bras all the time if you are large. you can sleep in sports bras. it will keep them perky for years. you are now a woman. talk to your mom, or your counselor at school if you need someone to talk to about puberty

Those marks happen when your breast are getting bigger. So that means yours are still growing. Its normal and will apear and dissaper. If you rub lotion on the marks they will go away faster. mine went aways when i was 14.

No, it's not odd. Stretch marks happen when your skin stretches. It's not old age... if you gain a lot of weight or grow, it happens. (Older people get them when they get fat, younger people when they grow or develop.)

It's normal... don't worry about it.
