Who made the tree? Santa's Best makes a lot of fiber optic trees and there is a toll free phone number in the directions or a web site on the box for obtaining needed parts. Check your box and see if that info is there. If you don't have the box check on or inside the base to see if the manufacturer is listed. If you can't find that--I'd suggest Radio Shack--they might have something that will get you running.
