I think I've heard the higher up on the cartilage you go the more it hurts...but I have 2 holes in each ear and it didn't hurt hardly at all.

I personally didn't think it hurt. I have three holes and two cartilage, none hurt to me.
But everyones pain tolerance is different so I would say see what kind of pain you can endure.
Did getting your first hole hurt? If not than go for the second because its really no different, just make sure to keep them cleaned so they don't get infected or else it could cause problems with the first if you have to take them both out due to a sensitive earlobe.

In my personal experience, it didn't hurt more, but the farther up my ear that I pierced, the harder it was to get it to heal. Also, piercing with a good sterile surgical needle is much less painful (and extremely more safe and clean) than with a gun (you could get Hep C or something from the gun)...

Depends where u put the second peircing!
Just above the other one no!
Further up the ear, doesn't hurt it's the noise that bothers u!

I got my double pierced.............no it dont hurt because when you get it done you would only feel a small pinch but also you have to take care of it and it might turn red after but i reall dont hurt

I got mine done at Claire's in October and I was prepared for the worst but I barely felt anything! Slight pinch and it was over! You'll be fine[:

I got my eras pierced 5 times in total, and no it didn't hurt,just litlle buzzing sensation.

no it doesn't hurt at all. its just two stings and its done. its like no big deal at all. now got get it done today lol have fun .
