I like Spike Lee's distinction. To be racist you have to be in a position to suppress, to persecute. If you merely don't like or won't associate with people of another race you are a bigot.
I don't think anyone should be faulted for who they choose to have or not to have a relationship with. Rejection is not persecution.
On the other hand if someone objects to or tries to prevent an interracial relationship between two other people that is bigotry and racism.

You find it repulsive? Wow! That's a really strong word! I'm white (Irish) and my boyfriend is white (Greek). I don't think that makes us racist, you are just attracted to certain people, its not always something you can control. It doesn't make you racist but I do think that using the word repulsive is a little strong.

Yes and No. I guess it would depend on the person more or less. But I like everyone. Of course its some asses out their that are racist but I ignore them. I have black, mexican& indian in me. My fiance is black and he dosent mind if our kids date outside their race..but I do. I want my kids to date black or latinos. Thats just the way I am. I dont like black people who try to start trouble..or act all big and bad..I dont like white people who think black people are poor..u get my drift.

Nice to know that I am a product of something people find "repulsive." If I cared what idiots thought, I'd have already committed suicide. Get over yourself.

I tihnk it depends on the person. Some people are more opened minded when it comes to partners and don't let race become a issue. They are in it for the love.

I think that refusing to date a person you are otherwise attracted to because of their race is racist or prejudiced or whatever. Not being attracted to a certain "type" of person isn't racist, but deliberately forcing yourself (or others, through pressure and negative actions) to not date someone JUST because of their race is racist.

for the most part i think so.
anyone who does not approve of any relationship solely based on the races of the two people differing is racist.
there is much more to be said on this matter, but perhaps it should be better to wait for some other answers.

I think it is racist to judge other people's inter-racial relationships. However, if you are attracted to black people, and you prefer to date black people, that is your choice and you shouldn't be judged for it. Date whomever you want, and allow other people the same freedom.
