...do you REALLY think it's going to make any difference as far as the Bush Administration and Iraq are concerned?

For the first time in decades, politicans are paying a bit of attention to the will of the people they are supposed to represent.

What happens in the following years depends on how well we use that power. If we just surrender it to them again, it's business as usual. So don't.

Okay... First, the democrats won the HOUSE only. The senate is not decided yet and is more likely to be fifty-fifty. Secondly, you will not see Hillary Clinton as the next president. She does not have enough support even from her own base. Call me a right-wing nutcase if you want, but those words (regarding Hillary) are from a buddy of mine who's about as far left as you can get and still see center.

the democratic win offers hope to people. Once the democrates assume power early next year there will be a few cosmestic's landscaping changes on the political scene. After a year, everything will return to how it was in the first place. In 18 months from now, the finger pointing will resume with no one accepting responsibility.

Business as usual.

The results of the election have already made a big difference! Before the elections, the GOP was all about staying the course... Since the elections they have been more than willing to change and the Dems have not even taken office yet!

I don't know if it will help - but it sure can't get any worse than it was with Bush and Co.
