California would have made and can still make a great country hands down; if the U.S would let it go that is. Because it is one most effective states in the country, or the world even. for example, the cities which people still cant get enough of, the weather which is loveable all around, the environment which could be a little expensive at first but with time and a fine job would do just fine, etc...

California, then it would become illegal for those damn Californias to immigrate into Oregon. The US is good about dragging their heels on this fence thing. Believe me if California became a foreign country every Oregonian would VOLUNTEER to build a wall to keep them out.
It's not a race thing either. Black, Brown, White, Yellow, I want them all out and I want my state back.
