it doesn't help. Look at how many ladies have posed for a playboy type magazine and how many does the public actually remember?

lets see:
those girls next door girls (don't even know their names)
pam a.
jenny Mc.
Carmen

That's all I know that have gotten famous because of playboy, everyone else got famous, but then it was reflected years later that they were in playboy.

I'm confused by your response-does it pour or drizzle in Portland? You said both. I'd appreciate hearing more. Was the recent deluge just a fluke?
As for your question-it totally depends on the circumstances-sometimes it helps, sometimes it hurts-so many factors enter into it, as to how famous she is, how the press decide to portray it, what the spread consists of, and many other things.

Help a career, alot of legit actresses have either started their career that way or in other cases actresses have completely jump-started what was a pretty done and finished career. Either way it has worked.

I guess it depends on who it is. I remember when Katarina Witt (the olympic medalist from Germany) posed. I thought she looked gorgeous. Her body was very nice because she is an athlete. I thought it was not degrading to her, but made her look artistic. She did not appear slutty at all. I think there are plenty of women who did look slutty and think it did change their future career plans for them.

Neither. Most actresses who pose for Playboy are already on their way downhill so nobody really cares.

it hurts. people are living for the possibility to smash someone, all they enjoy is when someone (as richer or more beautiful is as better it gets) suffers in a public way. gossip is part of the gas that is keeping the motor of society run so well, and play boy in the past of a lovely young actor's is gossip and the possibility to hurt her and give her pain.

It certainly won't get you the next cover of Mennonite Monthly. It usually favors actresses, but it also can burn down some bridges they might need later with the conservative crowd.

I don't think it will do anything to their career either way. They could just pose for FHM or Maxim
