Yes. Amazon.com is a secure website which will not share your billing information with anyone.. I have been shopping with amazon and eBay for a long time now. I also work for one of the high tech companies in the silicon valley and I can guarantee you that for companies so big, your trust and their reputation is too important for them to mess up on this part. They have many layers of protection to prevent thefts of information, let alone giving your info to someone voluntarily. They know they operate on trust and something like selling or theft of users' info would lead their business to shut down completely.

Also, as a side-note, make sure when you are led to any page on the web asking you for credit card or bank info, that the page url starts with https:// . This shows that the page is secure and the info cannot be intercepted by someone.

Amazon is one of the largest and most successful online stores in the world. Their online transactions are as secure as they can be made. suggest you do not select the option for them to retain your credit card info for ease in future shopping, but other than that...shop away. I have bought at least 400.00 worth of stuff from them.

All sites have to provide a "Privacy Policy" in the U.S. now, Amazon.com included. Otherwise it's secure.

Amazon is a very reliable company and takes precautions to protect your data.

All the same, I don't keep my credit card info on file with them. They don't require you to. It's somewhat of an inconvenience, but it's one less thing I need to worry about.

it means that the information is encrypted when sent over the internet. Viruses, keyloggers and anything else that may be on your computer that is designed to log or to steal that information, if it's on your computer, the encryption/secure website wont make any diffrence.
