Werent Anglo-Saxons ans Vikings the same people as one group of Germanic people?

I just read that Scandavian people are all Germanic like the English, so really they are all one group and there is nohing really to be proud about being different ot having their identy as they were the same people, like they ony migrated to North from German and Demark like when they went to UK, so basically they are the same people right? aye lol

I read some history sites and all French Norse, Nowar, Denmarl , Germany are one group of people but they just spilt up thats it, they were all Germaic and my point is that you can really say they are different people just because they split up, they all came from Germany then went to Scandanavia, then France, also to UK and Netherlands, so they aint much differen between them as some people imagaine them to be.

If you want to be simplistic then yes they are Teutonic but cultures evolve over time and over distances.

The Anglo-Saxons that the Vikings raided in the 9th and 10th century weren't exactly the same Anglo-Saxons that came over in the 5th and 6th century from northern germany.

Look how different Norman culture was to English culture in the 11th century. Normans were more part of the continental culture while the English due to invasions of Vikings were more Scandanavian influenced.

yep. the proof is that Teutonic (English, Dutch, Belgian, German, Swiss German) and Scandinavian (Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Icelandic) are related to each other.
