Ha ha, this subject is very interesting. The reason you don't understand the answer, is because you put the problem wrong!
Should start the explanation with a simple concept, called sensation. Sensation is the excitation of a sensory receptor (for example, light is recepted by the retina).
Perception is the psychological process that integrates the sensations. For example, a light beam gets in contact with your eyes. This is a sensation. You perceive the light, integrate it into your mind and perceive it as "Light".
Perception strictly refers to simple things which characterize objects, such as: color, shape, luminosity, size, roughness, volume and so on. Perceiving another person will be limited to their height, eye color, hair length, type of clothes etc. Perception will not give you information as to whether that person is good for you or not, or what qualities they have.
Although perception does participate in defining other individuals, other important psychological and social processes have a higher importance in knowing a person. Experience, defensive mechanisms, expectation, attribution, memory, attention, and even imagination and motivation will participate in various ways to the holistic image of the person.
For example, you perceive that person's eyes. They are blue, big and with long eyelashes. From your experience, education, favorite stars, imagination, you realize that those eyes are the type of eyes you would like in a lover. You start developing feelings for that person, and other processes participate in creating an image about that person. When you are in love, and/or when you just meet a person, there is a high probability that you don't really know how they are, and you only see a side of them. After a while, you get to know other sides of him, and this is what probably caused your "misperception".
Hope my answer was clear!

If you believe in something so strongly it will be...even if it is not. therfore a flawless person or thing can be flawed. And a flawed person can be perfect.
