Well if you have injured your knee it could just be pain, or you may have done damage to the knee. If you had a severe traumatic injury it could have induced arthritis. It may just be arthritis or gout they are two different things. If a person happens to be carrying around a little or alot of extra weight this causes knee pain, and damage to the knees as well. I see many Patients with these problems. If the problem is a few days old and there was no injury give it a few days then see a doctor. If there was an injury you should see a doctor sooner than later. Staying active helps with arthritis. Eliminating certain foods out of your diet and making sure you drink plenty of water(don't go crazy with the water) help with gout. If weight is the problem you would be surprised that shedding a few pounds would make you feel a bit better.

It depends, I would have it checked out though. I had pain and swelling right under my kneecap and it turned out I burst a bunch of stuff and still have problems with that knee. Better to have it looked at and find out nothings wrong than mess up your knees for life.

Until then, put some ice on it for 20 minutes a day and hopefully that will stop the pain a little.

I'm going to deliver McGraw Hill the improvement of the doubt, that her idea of four x 200mg of Motrin used to be a typo. Prescription ibuprofen is six hundred mg consistent with dose, now not 800. Yes, see a health care provider! That type of affliction isn't a factor to disregard! Do your knees harm with each types of saddle? My knees almost always endure while driving a western saddle if the stirrups don't seem to be grew to become accurately, and an English saddle if the stirrups are too brief *for my selection*. Yes, I pick an extended stirrup than is *proper*, particularly in comparison to a leaping stirrup duration. For the western, soak the stirrup leathers and hose down the bottom of the fenders (do not soak them on account that the rainy location will depart a mark at the entrance part), then flip the stirrups and keep them in location till they dry. It's nice to do that round a barrel or anything on the way to push in opposition to the stirrup to drive the leathers to bend sharply. Just putting on a sawhorse would possibly not be as powerful, however it's going to support a few. If the saddle has customers with specific leg lengths, it is nice to grease and melt the leathers wherein they pass over the tree, then you'll be able to transfer that finish as a substitute of relocating the cautiously formed stirrup finish and wasting that shaping. I've determined that the pony liniment referred to as Thermoflex Gel is exceptional for painful joints and stiff muscle groups - however I'm greater than three instances your age! You must now not be affliction this manner at age 14, and it maybe doing harm on the way to rationale you even worse affliction as you age. Please see a health care provider or sporting activities therapist approximately this! You too can paintings for your horse's "want" for "tons of leg". A good-knowledgeable horse must reply to gentle cues from legs and reins. If you are not able to get the support of a instructor to lighten your horse's responses, get a few moderate spurs to slash the quantity of stress you ought to follow. Your mother must now not be letting you refuse scientific awareness. It's the activity of mom and dad to make certain youngsters are nontoxic and healthful and now not injuring themselves.

Perhaps you, like me, have not been careful in entering and leaving the car. Try sitting first and then lifting or lowering your legs. See if this doesn't help.
