Yes it is normal, but it takes more than a few days for the smell to go away.

Very true. It's just the paint on the engine components being exposed to continuous heat for the first time or so. It will go away usually after the first few days of driving.

What kind of car is it? Mine does that too. I have an Iszuz Ascender, and it has actually done that now for 2 1/2 years. The mechanic says there is nothing wrong though. Must just me something with the newer engines!

you be attentive to what??? think approximately pushed over some plastic (a bag, some wrapping of varieties, etc) and not have observed it. it may be caught on your muffler -- and once you force, with the warmth it melts away the plastic, making it scent like burning/melting plastic. verify below you automobile -- and spot in case you spot what seems to be melted, and dried plastic (it is somewhat stressful at popular temp). This got here approximately to me no longer too in the past -- and it is annoying b/c it smells constantly......It won't in all probability injury your automobile, yet you will only would desire to look ahead to it to ultimately burn off.

Yes it is normal just likeevery once said. However it may go away and not go away. Actually what it is is the cataylst in the converter being exposed to continous cycles of warmup and cooldown
