First opinion - concentrate more in English classes please.

To answer your question about household (one word) chores, whether it is appropriate to leave those to the female members of the household depends entirely on the structure of the household.

If the women are not working or studying outside the home and the men are, that may be an appropriate separation of duties.

If the men and women are both working outside the home in paid employment or study, an equal division of household chores is required.

If there are children and the women are working part-time, a suitable balance should be established in order to ensure there is free time for all to relax.

Common sense should apply to each individual situation.

Young boys should be taught to do all household chores so they can look after themselves when they move out of their parents home.

Girls - never marry a man who has never left home unless you know his mother brought him up knowing what a teatowel and a broom are - you are asking for trouble!

If both spouses work equal hours then I think household/children chores should be done equally. Otherwise I believe you should be taking care of it. But once he comes home, the two of you should both be doing what needs to be done; e.g.cooking & cleaning up after it, getting kids ready for bed. When he does yardwork or other types of work you can't do, give him equal time off from inside chores. It isn't right but it is selfish if one member is cooking, cleaning, caring for children while the other one is sitting & watching TV for example or using the computer.

My brother-in-law Sam has made my sister a lucky woman. Both work full-time jobs. He believes that as long as there is work to do both should be doing it. For example, if one cooks the other cleans up. If house cleaning is to be done, he starts at one end of the house while she begins at the other (or upstairs & downstairs). He loves to get groceries. He often does laundry. But whatever you do, never tell him how to do something. Then he is "helping" you & you/he shouldn't be thinking that way.

Hell no this is not 1726 is it ?
Its up to your parents to teach their sons how to be productive and helpful husbands and that includes knowing how to look out for themselves once they are out from under their mothers wings .
I flatted with a 25 year old guy that couldn't cook pasta or wash dishes so they were clean enough to eat off of .And he was this way because his mom and sisters did all the house hold chores for him I can tell you I pity the girl that catches him in her man trap. mothers sisters girlfriends and just plain friends don't fill your world with domestically challenged males . Teach them and make them practice what what you teach .

no, males can even do it better. If you s husband and wife team, you should help one another in household chores, to make work lighter.

No, it's not okay. It's sexist. It's chauvinistic. It's pre-historic thinking. If you drop it, pick it up yourself. If you spill it, wipe it up yourself. Women weren't put here to wait on everyone.

If the men are productively working, the answer is yes. And I don't care what liberals say or think.
