I generally don't, but I think a large part of that is that I'm young, and young people have that habit of thinking they're invincible.

It's a good idea. Damage to your ears is irreversible - meaning every show you go to where loud music is being played damages your hearing PERMANENTLY.

If your ears are ringing after a concert, this means you have just diminished your hearing.

In the end, it's your choice - appearance or your health - and one that only you can answer.

You should use the earplugs for everyday loud-*** activities like going to the movies or riding the train/loud traffic. Hearing loss happens over time if you get constant exposure to loud noise. Eventually your ears can't repair the damage. Unless you work as a roadie, loud concerts won't make you loose your hearing. So take 2 aspirin & stop being such a baby - while your at it turn your ipod down so only you can hear it & stop harassing your neighbors with your Dolby surround sound home theater.

I wear an earplug in my left ear since I have severe ear drum damage. I would suggest you take them with you and put them in if you think it is getting loud. better to be safe than sorry as cliche as that sounds.

Yes, I have. I've been a Cheap Trick fan for the last 30 years. You have to with that band. My ears have rang for as long as 3 days!! Think of it this way, the band wears them, if they have any brains.

Trim them down if too long, that way you won't look like a version of Frankensteins monster with the things sticking out of your ears.

Also, tinnitus (the ringing) can be permanent if you damage the ears enough, over time.

I would save the money and not buy the tickets. Or if you already have them sell them. The whole point of a concert is to hear the music!

Last show I saw was the Sammy Hagar and The Wabos. 5th row center and I wish I has brought earplugs with me. Best show I EVER saw but it was LOUD! Might not be a bad idea.

up to you... I personally don't and I go see the loudest of the loud bands ie. Motorhead, The Ramones (R.I.P. Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee)... as long as you are not exposed to it day in, day out...you should be fine... but then again look what happened to Pete Townsend...
