If you want to accentuate your butt, go with the skinny jeans. They will make you look like a light bulb:

If you want to DE-accentuate your butt, go with straight leg or boot cut pants. They should pretty much hang straight down from your butt. They should not be form-fitting. Also, go for a longer jacket if you're buying a suit. The jacket should fall just at the top of your thigh. Stay away from chunky heels, even though they make you feel a little less like you're going to twist an ankle. Go for the kitten heel, with a pointy toe, because they make your legs look longer. Wear bright colors up by your face to keep attention there. Be animated and always have something nice to say about people, and after a while, your big butt will just not be significant to the people in your life, because they will only see your beauty. The larger the pockets on the back, the smaller the butt will look. I read it in the book Color Me Beautiful, very very helpful. It means I always look good! Buy the book Color Me Beautiful by Carole Jackson you can't go wrong. Or internet search it.

P.S The higher the waist of the jeans the bigger your butt will look. So if you can pull it off go for regular or low rise/hipster. However if you are a slightly larger try a regular cut otherwise you'll have a muffin top happening.

Anything that will make the butt look smaller. So go for something that is wider near the heel and not tooo tight around the rear because this can just increase the curviness. Skirts hide a big butt pretty well too.

Loose pants with lots of pockets is one of my favor. No belt.
Second choose is the India style outfit that has a long top that covers most of the pants. The top is usually silk, split up the side and very pretty.

being as I have a big butt- flair leg or relaxed fit... darker colored jeans... just try a bunch on... and in different sizes.. you might be suprised. Good luck!
