DFO can refer to:
1. Department of Fisheries and Oceans, also called Fisheries and Oceans Canada
2. 1,8-Diazafluoren-9-one, a chemical that makes fingerprints glow when lit by laser or blue-green light

DFO - 1,8-Diazafluoren-9-one
DFO is used to develop latent prints on porous surfaces or to allow you to see fingerprints. DFO reacts to the amino acids present in perspiration. The resulting prints will glow with the use of various lasers and light sources.
