It's all on a matter of opinion, experience, and what you want to use the computer for. I would do some more research or update the question about what you want to do with it. This will help determine how much ram, cpu speed, hard drive space, etc. I think http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/SubCategory.asp?SubCategory=10 has a good selection and if you want like a whole package (tower, speaker, keyboard, etc.) just look at the reviews of the tower that you like and then go to bestbuy.com or something and see if they sell it with a monitor and what-not. Newegg has great reviews from users I think, good luck!
p.s. don't just go in the store (like bestbuy) and come out w/ a computer without research (which i'm glad you're doing right now! :) ), they definately do their upselling, and sometimes you get people who honestly know nothing about it, be careful!

Sanaa, let me help you answer your own question.

The best PC in the market for you is the PC that will do what you want to use it for. So, here is a URL for you to do your homework to learn a little more about PC's and before you buy any that others recommend.

Here is the URL< www.pcworld.com > Go to this site and look for the PC reviews. There you will find recommendations from experts that you can use towards purchasing your "own" perfect PC.

After you have finished with your homework, go to a reliable computer store, find a knowledgeable sales person, tell him/her what you want to use your computer for, ask the pertinent questions, get satisfactory answers and decide on your purchase.

Usually, you can get a relatively good machine with $1,000.00.but it all depends on what you want it for.

Most of the big computer manufacturers produce good products but, in my view, the best tech support is offered by HP.

Good luck.

I would say go with Dell, HP or an Apple. I would strongly suggest for any of these get the Intel Dual 2 Core processor.

I recently bought the Dell E521 for my wife and am very pleased with the quality. It came to just over $600 USD, total.
