I so loathe the racists, I cannot even comprehend it, some people are so ignorant. I think because if you look under the heading "Cultures & Groups" etc., there will always be predujuced as sad as it is and it just totally blows my mind that people are still that closed minded.
Don't forget Rosa Parks Day is coming up in less than a month also!

Hate begets hate, darlin'. I do believe this old saying, and I must admit that in all my 34 years of life, I do understand that concept now.
Racism will never be over until those that practice it without reason are destroyed. The reason why racism and prejudice exist esp. in these forums is because folks feel like they are in their own little narrow-minded world such as at home behind their grubby, stenchy little keyboards and no matter what no one will be able to identify them and their stinky fingers.
I tell people up front or in writing to the courts that I despise those who have hated me or plotted against me for no good reason at all; simply because of that old race thing. They don't like it but what did Martin Luther King, Jr. say? He mentions that if we stay quiet about the things that are unfair or should be eliminated we become as the ones who commit these atrocious acts [do].
You can get caught up in the bigotry and hate and I have found myself there...I have to try hard to stay away from hating those who have hated me for no reason...people do understand racism and hate, and they (mostly whites) know what they are doing, but they always pretend that they do not or behave as if their shocked or once again, the old denial crapola.
I just have given up on that white race, but I just stay focused on Jehovah God and how he will destroy those who practice hate. I have to really try hard and sometimes I fail, to keep myself from hating them so badly.

Mainly because online anonymity seems to make people who are scaredy cats in real life big, brave and bold in forums like this. The ability to hide behind a computer screen seems to give "courage" to the ignorant and tactless (read: those who don't have the...shall we say, "testicular fortitude" to say what they want to say in the real world).
Like other people have already mentioned, I suggest ignoring questions like those. But if you're compelled to say something (as I sometimes am), I find it more satisfying to prove these people's stereotypes wrong by giving an intelligent, honest answer and leaving it alone, as opposed to jumping the gun and cursing them out (not that I haven't thought about it - lol).

But sociology is about the way people interact with one another.
Unfortunately Racism and prejudice are social reactions.
