I think you mean Missouri, if so I'll give you my impression from my two visits there. Cold and wet in the winter time with lots of spectacular lightening and tremendous thunder claps. hot and extremely humid in the summertime--I got out of an air conditioned car and the humidity fogged my glasses. The reward for enduring all this is a beautiful green countryside year round, Lots of trees and bushes and lakes and ponds and an abundance of wildlife. This, of course, includes lots of insects. Most of the people I met seemed very friendly

No, never heard of it.
But I hear that the weather in Missouri is hot and humid in the summer, and cool, possibly snowy, in the winter.
