I just read this in Yahoo! News: "U.S. vetoes condemnation of Gaza strikes"...

This will definitely generate more and more hatred in the Middle East towards th west, which will never end the War on Terror.

Please do not take what this govt. does to be the will of the people. Most of what happens inside and outside of this country is done by secret deals among the powerful. Most of us detest what the Israelis are doing to their neighbors, and what their neighbors are doing to them, but our national policy is part of a deal most of us are ignorant of . If you ask Americans, they are upset over a problem here of illegal immigration. These are people who are not legal citizens who take up residence here to work, get paid, and then usually go back home. The Jews moved in, forced everyone else out, confiscated the land, and established an army second to none, funded largely by the United States Government, and proceeded to enforce their will on the area. If that happened here, the uproar would be every bit what exists where you are. But, due to some clever propaganda on the public, we cannot see this clearly, and don't empathize with the Arabs at all, mostly blindly supporting our government's policy. Israel was a bad idea that will haunt us all for a long time, maybe even being the cause of international war. We here would love it to be otherwise, that everyone there would just get along. That does not appear to be a likely possibility. And you are right, the longer it goes on, the more people in the Middle East will blame us.

I more commonly attempt to keep civil in those dialogs, however you are taking the cake. Enjoy it now, on the grounds that it's not going to final. Every unmarried illustration of the socialism you espouse has failed miserably, why do feel our try will paintings? ***ADDED - And incidentally Kevin. The Middle East already hates the West, this veto will not affect or sway their feelings toward us. Israel's just trying to hold off the Islamic terrorists from spreading any further beyond their Middle Eastern borders and threaten their way of life.

It cannot end because Islam needs to conquer the whole world to accomplish it's mission.
The Koran sees the world as divided into two - one part which has come under Islamic rule and one part which is supposed to come under Islamic rule in the future. There is a division of the world which is very clear. Every single person who starts studying Islam knows it. The world is described as Dar al-Islam (the house of Islam) - that's the place where Islam rules - and the other part which is called Dar al-Harb - the house of war. Not the "house of non-Muslims," but the "house of war." It is this house of war which as to be, at the end of time, conquered. The world will continue to be in the house of war until it comes under Islamic rule. This is the norm. Why? Because Allah says it's so in the Koran. God has sent Mohammed with the true religion in order that the truth will overcome all other religions.

When someone drops a bomb here like never before you'd think they don't like us. Wrong their mandate is to form a rad-Islam world and like the nazis, this is a demonic unrelinquishing force that should be eliminated but we're too busy playing politics. Any press release past yr reflecting on Bush Adm was problably by terrorists, they alluded to. Don't be led by headlines!

I don't know all the facts and i think few do, but to the outsider, it looks like the US will support anything Israel does. I'm not bashing Israel, but to me it would look more evenhanded if we gave them an occasional thumbs down.
