I seen some really cute ones hanging up in the vets office when I took my cat. Someone put a santa hat on their dog and dressed them up really cute and had him sitting under the tree. Or you could dress your kids up as elves or nutcrackers or reindeer hehe!

We live in the deep south, so there's no snow (it's barely even cool). This year, we'll be on the beach for thanksgiving, so we're going to build a "snowman" out of sand, decorate w/rocks, sticks, a hat & scarf. The kids will be snapped in action! Also, some friends of ours always do really neat cards. They have the whole family in Santa hats, doing something related to the times. Last year, they were looking for Osama Bin Laden, they used cute captions and beards. Simple, but cute.

A friend of mine was an artist commissioned to draw characters of a family every year for their Christmas cards. They were really cute! It was in a festive setting. Some times around a tree with all their names by the corresponding person. They would always be in a funny scene. The tree about to fall over while decorating it, or something. They were really cute!

Not sure if that's what you meant, but thats what first came to mind.

i work in a store with a photo lab that prints those cards, people use all kinds of pics. summer vacation, family reunions, that sorta thing. i like the ones that show you as a family, those little things that outsiders rarely see. if you have any really cute or funny pictures of your kids, that is mostly what family and friends want to see. and it's much easier to snap pics of kids than the whole group.

the family gathered around hanging their Christmas stockings in front of a fireplace, family decorating the Christmas tree, a picture of family on porch with decorations saying from our family to yours, the family each holding a gift offering it to the camera saying " Merry Christmas to all " with one word on each package., a family portrait in front of a nativity scene, a picture of the two little ones in a box as if it had just been opened saying " Merry Christmas -- Love -- the best gift of all "

Kids with elf hats, Adults with Santa hats.

Kids holding up glass of milk or cookie. Parents in background with tootbrushes.

All wearing different colored shirts, so no big blob of color stills the show. Like someone wears red, next wears purple, next wears green, blue and so on.

Mom and daughter have same braids in hair, if same length.

Dad with son below him, mom with daughter below her or vice a versa order. Think Brady Bunch square showcase.

All in height order, tallest to shortest.

Unless you have the perfect picture, I like the ones with made up with a set of pictures on it. It can tell a bigger story.

My cousin always sends us a card w/ a black and white photo of thier kids doing some sort of holiday craft....last year it was a picture of them decorating cookies....I like their candid pictures better than the other "posed" Chirtmas cards we get.

i appreciate the assumption of nutrition...Make your nicely-prevalent trip nutrition, like cookies, take a image of it and use that through actuality the front of your card. in case you isn't waiting to take a image of it, attempt typing the recipe in a nicely-prevalent font, recipe card style and use that...you will come throughout the time of a neat quote (google trip expenses) and use that for the interior! you ought to use this to play up the "traditions" attitude. in case you like you're waiting to desire to even photocopy a image from a magazine or cookbook and use that! --have relaxing and robust fulfillment!
