The easiest, cheapest, and cable to get, has a stereo plug on one end and two RCA type plugs on the other end, plug the RCA plugs into the AUX input on your home sound system. For surround sound, you will most likely need two. Of course your computer sound card must support Surround Sound.

Go from your sound card's line output to the aux (or any unused) input on your receiver.
